Cat and Kitten Adoption

Cat and Kitten Adoption

Struggletown Vet Hospital has always been involved in kitten rescue and rehoming. The cats are rescued from some of the most overcrowded pounds in Sydney, and off our very own streets in the Eastern Suburbs.

Each kitten lives in a loving home environment as part of the foster carer’s family until they are ready for adoption. This helps us to ensure that each kitten we rehome will be the right fit for you, your family, and most importantly, for the kitten.

Cindy, our kitten rehomer, has had a passion for our feline friends for as long as she can remember, and has been involved with kitten rescue for over 30 years. She has also studied Cat Behaviour and Psychology, enabling her to better understand the complexity of the feline brain, and hence ensure that each one of her kittens can be successfully rehabilitated and become a great addition to your family. Cindy, along with fellow nurses Shannen and Jess, look forward to matching you with your perfect feline companion and finding that forever loving home for their foster fur kids.

Adoption cats have been:

  • Vet Checked
  • Desexed, or will be booked in for desexing at a later date if still too young, at time of adoption
  • Vaccinated appropriately for age (had at least one vaccine)
  • Microchipped
  • Treated for fleas
  • Wormed

The adoption price of a female cat is $395, and for a male cat is $345, and comes with a 2 week trial period to ensure he/she fits into your home environment.

If you are interested in adopting one of our cute fur babies, please download and complete the adoption form below and email to manager@struggletownvet.com.au, and please mark for the attention of Cindy at kitten adoption

Tre

Tre

Hi everybody!

My name is Tre and I’m waiting for that special human to come along and adopt me. Someone who will love and cherish me, feed me yummy treats, play lots of games and then snuggle up on the couch at the end of the day and give me chin scratches and head rubs.

I will need to be an indoor only cat or have access to an outside area that is contained and secure as I am a differently-abled little guy.

I was born with a congenital deformity which left me missing the bottom half of my right hind leg. I can still do everything a four-legged feline can do and I chase my foster sibling around the house and play rough-and-tumble with her like any other able-bodied kitty.

If you have room in your heart and are looking to share your life with a wonderful guy like me then come in and fill out an adoption application or email Cindy at manager@struggletownvet.com.au and she can send a form through to you.

Once the application has been completed, she can arrange a meet and greet to see if we hit it off.

I hope to meet you real soon!
Tre xxxxx
